MikeLive! presenters

Dave Wilcox Dave Wilcox - Born and bred in Ebbw Vale, South Wales, Dave first took up the DJ reigns at University Radio Bath. Was also part of a radio comedy collective called the "Lemon Curry". Dave says: "The station was pumped into the coffee bar, launderettes and Student Union offices so there was no escape - I do like a nice captive audience who aren't allowed to reach the 'off' button! Following graduation, I was keen to feed my radio addiction and so I landed a job in a local hospital radio station (another captive audience) So there I was - broadcasting to the patients in a vain attempt to make them feel better. It must have worked because they left in droves, along with the staff (or was it something to do with the hospital closing down?)" Dave's now based in the North West of England and can be heard in the area on Southport Community Radio, www.radiosouthport.com. Favourite artists include, among many others: Sparks, the Beach Boys/Brian Wilson, Rufus Wainwright.

Mike Pratt Mike Pratt - Mike was active in student radio firstly at University Radio Nottingham and then University Radio Bath & URB-FM where he was Station Manager, in the early/mid 90's. Favourite show, presented with Steve Walker, was "Thank God it's Friday!" a zoo-format intro to the weekend (pre-dating Chris Evans's TFI Friday TV show). He was also briefly a presenter on "The Network", an early but short-running satellite radio station for UK student radio stations. After 10 years out of radio, Mike set up MikeLive! radio as a side-line in 2007 in order "to see if I could create a radio station from scratch. And because there were no stations playing what I wanted to hear. Also I wanted to play new music out there that I knew was no getting airplay on other stations". Now lives in Hampshire UK. Recent achievements outside of radio include writing a song with a minor seventh flattened fifth chord in - nice! Mike's favourite artists include: the Beach Boys/Brian Wilson, the Beatles, Dion DiMucci, Sam Cooke, the Seekers, Mamas and the Papas, Buddy Holly, to name a few.

PHOTO SOON Steve Pratt - made his radio debut on MikeLive! in 2008 and in no time has developed his own relaxed style to presenting. Due to his time down-under, he has become something of an expert in Australian/New Zealand rock music. Now lives in London UK. He makes a point of playing a track in full whether it's 3, 6 or 12 minutes long. Considers 50 km to be a safe distance from a Bon Jovi concert. All-time favourite artists include: ELO, Pink Floyd, the Beatles, Peter Gabriel, Elton John.

We hope to announce more new presenters soon.
